We are a family of seven and live on a 10-acre mini farm. Dean, Esther, and five beautiful children along with our pets make our family complete. My husband hobby grazes beef cattle. We have a cat named Miles, Trigger the horse, and of course our beloved dogs. Can you tell our family is all animal lovers?
Our puppy story began when our two oldest children were four and two years old. We adopted a little Bichon female from a friend. The kids spent countless hours playing with her and we all became very attached. It wasn’t long after that she had a litter of six puppies at our home. They brought us so much joy and thus our heart and minds began to stir and we decided we would like to help others find that joy as well.
We started checking into other breeds and fell in love with the bulldog cross which is called a Beabull. This is because they are a cross breed between an English Bulldog and Beagle. Here we found a dog that has the visual characteristics of an English Bulldog but without some of the common health issues associated with the pure breed English Bulldog. Skin issues, heart-related issues, and breathing issues are eliminated. We also like the poodle crosses because we find them to be very intelligent and great to have in the home. They also are hypoallergenic and do not shed.
As a family, we are all involved in raising a healthy and well-socialized puppy. Each mother has a physical done every 6 months by a licensed veterinarian to ensure she is good health and able to nurture and raise a healthy, happy litter of puppies. My husband and I help each other in the nursery. We take special care of each mother while giving birth, helping her to be as comfortable as possible. We examine each puppy carefully as they are born to ensure they are healthy and off to a good start. All our puppies are vaccinated and de-wormed on a regular vet recommended schedule. After the puppies are 4 weeks old our kids start playing and interacting with the young puppies.
